I started feeling that my body of work needed more variety about mid 2022. I asked my friend if I could draw her family instead of my own, she said yes. My only request was that the photos she send me were expressive and captured the personality of the person.
Drawing this portrait kick started a frenzy of paintings. This is one of the first portraits that I documented as I drew from an overhead perspective.
