From a young age, Melody found joy in creating—whether with acrylics, oils, or watercolors. When she became a mother, her priorities shifted to caring for her family, and finding time, space, and energy for traditional art became a challenge. Her creative path took an unexpected turn when her spouse, Ben, introduced her to Adobe Fresco on a tablet in 2020. That evening, Melody discovered digital art, a medium that allowed her to stay connected with her creativity while balancing life at home.
While digital art remains an important outlet, Melody feels most at home with oil painting. She is captivated by its depth, richness, and endless versatility, using the medium to translate fleeting emotions and shifting atmospheres into bold, expressive strokes. Oils challenge her to work with confidence and speed, trusting her instincts as each piece takes shape in unexpected ways. She approaches every painting as an exploration of movement and mood—a balance between structure and spontaneity.
Though she has not received formal art training, Melody approaches her work with curiosity and courage, constantly experimenting with color, texture, and technique. Her creative practice has since expanded beyond oils and digital art—she has taken on mural projects, continually pushes herself with new challenges, and embraces opportunities to learn and grow as both an artist and storyteller.
Alongside her artistic journey, Melody is pursuing a business degree, equipping herself with the tools to share her work more broadly and build a sustainable creative career.
For Melody, art is both process and expression—a way of life that grows richer with each experiment and brushstroke. She hopes to inspire others by sharing not only her finished pieces but also the behind-the-scenes journey through time-lapses on social media. In her words: “It’s all about learning, growing, and understanding. We all have unique stories that can inspire us to be our best selves. I just want to show people the beauty of trusting the process.”
